Pic(k) of the week 46: THE TALLEST IS NOT THE HIGHEST - Fujifilm X-S10

Last week, I picked up a review copy of the recently announced, Fujifilm X-S10 camera for a couple of weeks of testing. Two things I really like, is the vast improvement of the Autofocus on the older lenses like the XF35 f1.4 and XF60 2.4 Macro lens and the IBIS. Having IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) in such a small and compact camera body is obviously a huge pro when using non-OIS lenses! There will likely be a review of the camera towards the end of November on this blog.

The image below was made just after sunset where I live in Dubai. I've often been attracted to the lighting poles with the Dubai skyline in the background but never really composed a compelling image of it. "When the tallest is not the highest" caption came to mind...

I do like how the "No U-turn" sign is the only thing that sticks out amongst the lighting poles. It might even be seen as an message in the image itself.

Image details:

  • Fujifilm X-S10 with XF35f1.4 lens
  • 1/320, f8, ISO 250
  • RAW file development in Lightroom Classic
  • DxO ColorEfex to enhance the existing blue/yellow gradient
