Pic(k) of the week 45: MYSTICAL MORNING OVER IRAN - iPhone 13 Pro Max

Flying as a long haul airline pilot, unfortunately also means a lot of back of the clock work with frequent time changes and jet-lag. No, you never get 100% used to it, we just learn how to live with it.

Early mornings do however often come with mystical moments like the one below, south of Shiraz (Iran). It is easy to start daydreaming about life in those small mountain villages, covered with early morning mist.

The topography of Iran consists of rugged mountainous rims, surrounding high interior basins. Looking at the terrain, one can easily see why Iran frequently is affected by earthquakes.

Image details:

  • iPhone 13 Pro max using Telephoto camera
  • ISO 32, 1/2700s, f2.8
  • ProRAW (dng) development in Lightroom Classic
  • Dxo Dfine Noise reduction
Although the sensor size of the iPhone camera is still tiny compared to full size cameras, I would still comfortably make a nice 12x8 inch (20x30cm) print of these images.
