Pic(k) of the week 49: BOATS AND LEAVES, AMSTERDAM

Fall (Autumn) is my favorite season when it comes to photography! The city of Amsterdam is known for its beautiful canals and large numbers of boats which are often left out in the elements during fall and winter.

Some of these boats stay at the same position for a number of months and often collect a lot of leaves, making it a great subject for some fall photography. Below is a triptych shot during a late afternoon photowalk under a dark overcast.

Image details:

  • Fujifilm X100V
  • ISO 1600, 1/250s, f5.6
  • Classic Negative Film simulation (in camera)
  • Photoshop CC to make the triptych
More work shot in Amsterdam, can be found here

Lastly, I'm just back from a 5 day trip to the islands of Malta. Expect to see at least two images from that trip in the remaining Pic(k)s of the week for this year.
