Pic(k) of the week 26: DO NOT BURN YOUR BRIDGES - Sharjah, UAE
Hard to believe that we are already at the halfway point of 2020. Let's hope that the second part of the year will be better than the start!
Most of us are probably familiar with the quote: "Do not burn your bridges". Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that some however seem to have a hard time applying it...
For the ones that are still not quite sure, always leave yourself a way to get back to something. In life, avoid doing something that is so damaging to a personal or professional relationship, that there is no way back.
Back to photography; the image below is an aerial photo of an interesting new bridge in Sharjah, UAE. As I often do with these type of shots, I like to have the main subject on a diagonal for a more interesting composition.
Image details:
- DJI Mavic 2 Pro
- 1/240s, f4.0, ISO 100
- Lightroom Classic for RAW development
- Photoshop CC for clean up of the water surface
- DxO Colorefex Pro4 for optimal constrast
More aerial images can be found in two separate galleries:
- AERIAL PORTFOLIO, small selection of my best aerial work
- AERIAL, more extensive and wider range of aerial images
Lastly I would like to address those drone flyers who think the drone regulations do not apply to them... As an airline pilot I'm responsible for my crew and passengers. I you fly your drone above the max altitude or fly in no-fly zones, you endanger the safety of others! Applications like Photopills, make it very easy to see what altitude a drone shot was taken at, so stick to the rules!
Remember: "Never burn bridges. If it is a faulty bridge, close it of and let it fall on its own" - Gregor Collins.
