Pic(k) of the week 37: NOMADE by Jaume Plensa - Fujifilm X-T3
While testing the brand-new Fujifilm X-T3, I spend some time in Antibes, a great resort town between Nice and Cannes along the French Riviera. A city which is known for its old town enclosed by 16th century ramparts with a star shaped Fort Carré.
It is here that Spanish-Catalan artist and sculptor Jaume Plensa, made his latest Nomade sculpture. Over the years, I've become a fan of Jaume's works of Art; check out some of his work here.
Nomade, at Bastion Saint Jaume, was finished in 2010 and is the last of three similar large statues made by Jaume; one more can be found in Barcelona and another one on Miami, US. The 8m tall, 6 tons heavy statue, consists of steel letters that form a giant body. Given its great location overlooking the ocean, it gives a calm relaxing feeling and is a great place to hang out around sunset.

Beside the Nomade statue, I've been pleasantly surprised with what Antibes had to offer. If you are in the neighborhood of Cannes or Nice, make sure to spend some time in this amazing town along the Côte d'Azur! If you are interested in Art, don't miss the Picasso museum.
