PHOTO INSPIRATION DAY 5 - THE SUFFERING OF LIGHT BY ALEX WEBB (PHOTOBOOK)
Beside YouTube, my second most important way of looking for inspiration is browsing through my collection of photo-books; books with very little text if any, where the images stand on their own.
One of the favorite photojournalists alive today is the great US photographer Alex Webb. Todays inspiration is one of his more recent photobooks called "The Suffering of Light".
The large format book shows a collection of 30 years of photo journalism (about 120 images) by Alex all over the world, but with a higher concentration of images taken in Cuba, Mexico and Haiti and Istanbul.
An inspiring interview about the opening of "The Suffering of Light" exhibition and book can be found below.
Street Photographer Erik Kim, has written a great book review about "The Suffering of Light", please check it out here.
Enjoy!
