Old & new
Isn't it amazing how history keeps on repeating itself...?

Belgium and a lot of North-European countries, are known for its large number of windmills.
End of May 09, I shot a few photos of the "Sint Janshuis molen" in Brugge (Belgium).
Built in 1770, it converts wind energy into mechanical energy and was used to grind grain.

Even though a lot of the windmills haven't been used for years and years, we are now building new ones! Wind turbines... converting wind energy into electrical energy.

Don't take me wrong! I, unlike quite a few other people, like them! They even make great photo subjects.
