Pic(k) of the week 7: LOVE LAKE - Happy Valentines
While Valentine's Day today is all about love and peace, its origin is actually very different... It seems to date back to the Romans with a few different versions. The Wikipedia page on the topic seems quite comprehensive.
Valentine's day today has largely become a commercial operation where only in the US an estimated 20 billion USD will be spend around the day of lovers! Not a bad business case!
My take on Valentines comes in the form of an aerial image of LOVE LAKE in Dubai, a great place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and reflect on life the other 364 days (or 365 this year!).
